Chris & Lauren moved to Haven in May of 2019 with their three foster children. Many things have changed in the 2 years they have lived in Haven! One of the biggest changes is that the Powell's no longer have foster children! We were blessed to adopt our three kids in October of 2020. Baby Porter, the newest addition to the Powell household, was born on February 3rd, 2023. We feel very blessed and fortunate to have such a wonderful family. Chris enjoys all things Kansas City Chiefs, coffee, a good piece of meat, and his family and cruising around the big city of Haven on his golf cart.

Lauren loves her family, a good blanket, and teaching at Haven Middle and High School.

The Powell's feel very blessed to live in Haven, to attend Haven Schools, and to be a part of the growing ministry at Haven Baptist Church! We look forward to many more years of wonderful ministry in the Haven community.

Michael recently graduated from Manhattan Christian College with a degree in Youth Ministry. He was also an intern with us in 2021. We are super happy to have him working with us again.

Michael enjoys video games, eating good food, and the Kansas City Chiefs! His wife, Rebecca, is also a recent graduate from Manhattan Christian College with a degree in Youth Ministry and is working at Haven Grade School as a para.

They both are very excited to see how God uses them to transform the hearts and lives of students in the Haven community!
